The Order of Equality is an online educational platform that focuses on global social justice issues. We’re a group of young girls who are extremely passionate about intersectional feminism, the LGBTQ+ community and mental health. Our primary objective, with this blog, is to create awareness and provide opportunities to people, who are just as passionate as us, to voice their opinion.
Unfortunately, feminism has become a bad word. People usually confuse the concept of feminism with the that of misandry, which shows two things – 1. they’ve been provided with the wrong information and haven’t fact-checked 2. they feel threatened by the idea of equality. Either way, we hope to destroy this misconception and bring about a realisation that equality doesn’t only benefit women.
From our “Social Justice 101” series to literary submissions by minority artists, this blog can be used by just about anyone who wants to educate themselves and contribute towards reducing ignorance shown by an alarming number of people all over the world. So, what’s our goal in simpler terms? A better world with compassionate people. You might think it’s too late to create a positive change in the world, but there’s always an old, overused quote for everything and there’s one for this too – it’s never too late.
